A four-part participatory series celebrating the living Afro-Brazilian traditions of Salvador, Bahia. Led by renowned Bahian artist and culture bearer Dendê Macêdo, participants will experience the rhythms, movement, and cultural histories of Candomblé and samba de roda through hands-on workshops, demonstrations, and conversation. The series creates an intergenerational space where Afro-Brazilian culture is practiced, shared, and celebrated—strengthening cultural identity and community while inviting people of all backgrounds to experience and connect with these powerful traditions.
